What happens when students don't have water and toilets in their school?
SCHOOLS MUST HAVE WASH
When schools don't have clean water and safe toilets, students cannot learn. It's as simple as that. They miss school because they are sick or have to spend time collecting water. They spend their day thirsty and can't concentrate. They have no place to go to the bathroom. Girls drop out when they can't meet their sanitation needs. Some will be married too young, become mothers, and the cycle of poverty repeats.
STUDENTS HELPING STUDENTS
There is no greater way to engage youth in WASH than an incredible opportunity offered by H2O for Life. This highly engaging organization activates North American youth to help solve the global water crisis in schools. H2O for Life builds better global citizens through service-learning that educates and inspires our youth to help students—just like themselves—gain access to WASH in their schools.
All resources are FREE.
